Agnes G. (Sullivan) Maier

It is with crushing sadness that we inform you our beautiful mother, Agnes Maier, passed peacefully at her home in Corpus Christi, Texas on March 20, 2022.

One word to describe who she was to her core would be Fierce! She was Fierce with her love. Such a perfect teacher on how to give and receive love. Fierce with her convictions, Fierce in her courage, and Fierce in her belief for social justice. She never looked away. She would stare down whatever needed to be looked at, call it by its name, and walk towards it. Fierce with her generosity. Never let that woman know about a want or need; she'd move mountains to find the means and the way to get it to you. To know her was to love her. Especially her husband, Rob Maier, her ten children Erin (Eric) Leonard, Micheal Horan, Kate Horan, Nora (Keith) Pykonnen, Brendan Horan, Sean (Dawn) Horan, Dan Horan, Neil (Juli) Horan, Bridget Horan, Megan (Jason Burt) Horan. Her fourteen grandchildren. Her two great grandchildren.

Now I will leave you with some words Mom wrote in a hand written cookbook that every recipe is written with the joy she had for cooking.

"Our family is truly an extended family that has embraced many dear ones, adopted Horans.
It is a great blessing and privilege to be "Momma" of so many wonderful and exceptional children.

Burial will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2022, at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 I-37, Corpus Christi, TX 78410.

Celebration of Life Lunch will be at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 6901 Holly Rd., Corpus Christi, TX 78414.
