March 5, 1947 ~ August 26, 2021 (age 74) 74 Years Old
Alicia Hernandez Obituary
On August 26th 2021 Alicia Hernandez was called home by our Lord. She was called Home in the early-morning hours.
Alicia was born in 1947 in Gregory Texas. She was born to Manuel and Manuela Rodriguez. She was raised beside her older brother which instilled a lifelong love of family and being together with loved ones.
In 1963, while attending a dance, Alicia met skinny big-eared young man who asked her to dance. She repeatedly said no. But the young man was persistent and and soon they were dancing together and laughing .Alicia married Miguel Hernandez in 1963. This romance lasted for 42 years until the good Lord called him home. In 1964, Alicia had the first of her eight children. She loved adored and supported each one of them in their endeavors. At least God was loved by many and touch many lives. She was called Mom by her children's friends who loved her as much as her children did. She was an amazing woman who managed to lead a great life. She passed believing in her family and her God. She will be greatly missed.
Alicia is preceded in death by her husband Miguel Hernandez, her father Manuel Rodriguez, her mother Manuela Rodriguez, and her brothers Manuel Rodriguez and George Rodriguez.
Alicia is survived by her brother Juan Rodriguez of Aransas Pass and sister Christine Lopez of New Braunfels she is also survived by her children Miguel Hernandez Jr of Ingleside, Yvonne Gutierrez and her husband Daniel Ingleside, Edward Hernandez and his wife Rachelle of ingleside, Eric Hernandez and his wife Kyla of Friendswood, Robert Hernandez and his wife Melissa of Gregory, Ricky Hernandez and his wife Melissa of Katy, Yvette Bustos and her husband Paul of ingleside and Ylyanna Hernandez Pourner and her husband Troy of Ingleside, her sister-in-law Alma Rodriguez.
She is also survived by 33 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Heaven has gained another angel, but here on Earth our hearts break.
Services will be held at: La Roca de Israel 2527 Main Street Ingleside, TX
Viewing will be Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from:
4:00 pm - 7:00 pm prayer services from 7:00 pm -8:30 pm
Services will be Wednesday, September 8, 2021 12:00 pm (noon) - 1:00 pm with burial to follow at San Ignacio Cemetery in Ingleside, TX
