Barbara McCracken, 71, passed away on April 15, 2026, in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Barbara was born on June 23, 1954, in Corpus Christi to Robert L. and Dora L. Tumlinson. She graduated from Mary Carroll High School in 1972. She went on to build a 30-year career in the hospitality industry, beginning as a bartender and quickly advancing into management. Throughout her decades of work, she managed numerous venues across California, Houston, and her hometown of Corpus Christi.
On September 24, 1977, Barbara married Jerry McCracken in Corpus Christi. She was best known for her wonderfully outspoken personality, her passion for shopping, and the fierce loyalty she showed to those she cared about.
Barbara was a strong, loving woman with a passionate heart. She was deeply loved by many and will be missed dearly.
She is survived by her lifelong partner, Paul Bazan; and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, including her great-niece, Mallorie McCracken.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry McCracken; her parents, Robert L. and Dora L. Tumlinson; and her brother, Robert G. Tumlinson.
