Billy Parker, 79, passed away on October 22, 2023, in Corpus Christi, TX.
Billy Parker was born on May 27, 1944 in Harlingen, TX, to Gerald Parker and Billie Parker.
Billy graduated from Alice High School in 1962 and went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree from Texas A&I University in 1972. He started his career as an outdoor advertising salesman. During that time, he worked on his boat captain's license and AC repair license, which eventually led him to working on fishing charter boats and owning an AC repair business.
Being out on the water fishing is what he loved most.
Billy also served in the Air Force from 1967 to 1972.
Billy married Patricia A MacLean on April 26, 1969 in San Antonio, TX. The couple had 4 children, Jason Parker, Joseph Parker, Rebecca (Parker) Click, and Ryan Parker.
Billy was best known for his friendly smile and caring soul. He met numerous people while running fishing charters out of Port Aransas.
Billy is survived by his spouse, Patricia Parker, sons Joseph Parker, Ryan Parker and his daughter Rebecca Click, who all live in Corpus Christi. Also left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren, Derek Parker, Colten Taylor, Carolina Parker, Layla Parker, Kody Click, Samantha Click, Madalyn Parker, and Wyatt Parker.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Billie Parker and his son, Jason Parker.
The service and burial for Billy G. Parker will be held on November 6, 2023, at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery on 9974 IH-37 Access Rd, Corpus Christi, TX 78410 at 10:00 AM. Following the service, there will be a remembrance gathering at 3826 Walking Oaks, Corpus Christi, TX 78418.
