Bonas Elroy Martin

Bonas Elroy "Marty" Martin, age 86, passed peacefully at home with family present, on November 20, 2024 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born May 21, 1938 in Vernon, Texas, to Bonas Wesley Martin and Thelma Elaine Perkins Martin. His parents, sister Peggy Martin, brothers Terry Martin and Curtis Martin, and daughter Sandra D. Martin preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn H. Martin, children Karen L Huett, Christy A Martin-Obar, Kael W Martin, and Katherine F Truax. He is also survived by his brother Larry (and Cindy) Martin and sister-in-law Wilma Martin. Also left behind are numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild.

Bonas gave over 23 years to the US Air Force and continued in aircraft simulators in civilian service until he retired. His passion for golfing then took the forefront of his weekly activity. May he play on green grass and hit all birdies. He is loved and missed by his family and friends.
