Brian Holmes Obituary
Brian Robert Holmes, age 46 of Taft Tx, passed away on Sunday October 29,2023 at Doctor's Regional Medical Center in Corpus Christi Tx. He was born on his grandfather's birthday December 29, 1976 in Garden City, KS.
After that he lived in La Junta, CO with his mother and stepfather, Carolyn and James "Jim" Nesselhuf. Growingup he loved to sing. He sang a solo and itrio at the OJC Community Concert, several musical production at the Picketwire Theater and in the LJHS Show Choir.
After 11 years in the military, he went back to school at Saint Leo University where he received his Bachelors and Masters Degree in Business Administration. He worked at Portland, TX Walmart, the USS Lexington, Schneider Transport, and later returned to Walmart.
He was a devoted father who loved his children, Luke and Leah. He loved their activities, Tae Kwon Do, football, soccer, band and various school programs. His children meant everything to him!! They were his world.
Brian is survived by his mother, children Luke and Leah and their mother, Junko, his uncles Terry (Becky) Holmes, Robert (Laurie) Holmes, cousins Leslie (Cody) Joyce, Shannon (Justin) Donley and their children Connor, Quinn and Isaac.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Oive and Ivan Holmes, stepfather Jim Nesselhuf and cousin Jennifer Holmes.
Services will take place at a later date.
