CASEY PAUL LEDET
2/28/1971 - 12/3/2025
Casey Paul Ledet was born on February 28, 1971, in Blytheville, AR, to the late Steven P. Ledet and Carol M. Ledet Kirschbaum. After 54 short years, the Lord called him home unexpectedly on December 3, 2025.
Casey grew up living next door to his grandparents' small ranch in Harrah. He helped his dad, brother, and grandpa tend to livestock. That hard work helped form his strong character and work ethic. He attended Harrah High School, where he played football, wrestled, and was a member of FFA.
After graduation, he joined the Army, where he served in Desert Storm. Following his service, he married and settled in Texas. That is where he built his life and his career as a paramedic, which he loved. He resided and worked in many EMS communities, including Fort Leonard Wood, Ozarks, MO, Fort Hood/Killeen, TX, and San Antonio, TX-eventually settling in Corpus Christi.
Casey loved spending time with his family most of all. Whether traveling or camping, he soaked it all in. His children meant the world to him. He also loved to cook.
Casey is survived by his children: Braxton Ledet of Corpus Christi; Avery Ledet, Tucker Ledet, Presley Ledet, Kinley Ledet, and Grady Ledet. He is also survived by his former wife and the mother of his children, Elizabeth Ledet Lilly of Blanchard, OK; his mother, Carol Kirschbaum of Magnolia, TX; his siblings and their spouses, Douglas Ledet and Susie of Edmond, OK; Michelle Ledet Cummings and Mark of Moore, OK; and Deidra Ledet of Magnolia, TX; his 15 nieces and nephews, and 7 spouses; his 16 great-nieces and nephews. Also not listed are his uncles, aunts, and many cousins.
Casey is preceded in death by his father, Steven Ledet, and both his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Casey was an easygoing, laid-back kind of soul. He was loud and loved big. If you were lucky enough to know him, you knew you would always have someone in your corner. He acted mean but was the biggest teddy bear with the kindest heart. He gave the best hugs and had a contagious laugh. He will be missed by so many. Until we meet again........
