On March 3, 2021 Castulo Garza Vasquez passed peacefully into eternal life at his home in Portland, Texas surrounded by all his loving children. He was born in Port Isabel, Texas on July 17, 1931 where he lived and graduated from Port Isabel High School in 1952. Castulo later moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he met and married the love of his life, Elizabeth Ann Ross Vasquez. They were known to each other as Casey and Betsy and immediately started a family of their own that included seven children. While in Milwaukee he worked at the Port of Milwaukee for many years. In 1971 Castulo moved his entire family back to Port Isabel, Texas where they lived for many more years. Castulo was a Police Officer for the Port Isabel Police Department and owned his own Security Service. He was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church where he served as an Usher. After retirement Casey and his wife Betsy moved to Brownsville, Texas. Casey was a fun loving, full of laughter, simple man who lit up the room with his beautiful smile. He loved to tell jokes and he had many to tell. He played the piano, drums, and accordion and loved to dance polkas with his beautiful wife. Casey loved his BINGO! Castulo is proceeded in death by his loving Wife Elizabeth Ann Vasquez, Son Joseph John Vasquez, Father Castulo D. Vasquez, Mother Adelaida Vasquez, Step-Mother Juana G Vasquez, Brothers Juan (Johnny) Vasquez, Roberto Vasquez, Rene Vasquez, and Leonel (Chester) Vasquez, Sister Minerva Mora, Sister-In-Laws Maria Ellena Vasquez, Cheryl Ann Crownecklace Vasquez and Chela Alavarez Vasquez Brother-In-Laws Aramis Mora, Ralph Martin, and Simson Elwin. Castulo is survived by his loving Children, Margaret Mary Jones (Peggy), Ann Marie Richard, Jacqueline Mary Vasquez (Jacque), Catherine Marie (Cruz)Valdez, Christopher Lawerence Vasquez, Mary Jo (Carlos) Morales. His loving siblings, Natalia Martin, Mavi V (Baldomero) Torres, Luis Carlos (Maria) Vasquez, Norma Vasquez, Noe (Linda) Vasquez, Sister-In-Laws Gloria Vasquez, Nelly Vasquez. He took pride in his Grandchildren Lewis (Tonya) Guy, Matthew (Diana) Guy, Jasmine Jones, Candace (Dennis) James, Clarissa Richard, Henry (Brenna)Richard Jr, Holly Ann Valdez, Jennifer (Jonathan) Martinez, Patty Valdez, Christopher (Lyndsey) Vasquez Jr., Ashley (Tony) Sheppard, Mario Beto (Lorie) Morales, Joseph John (JoJo) Morales, Amanda Jo (Rey) Morales, Diana (Yaya) Morales, He took even more pride in his Great Grandchildren, Marcos Guy, Myleiah Guy, Josiah (JoJo) Guy, Lewis Nehemiah Guy Jr., Devonte Brown, Amyah Riggins, Tonya Riggins, Tierney Gilmer, Kiana Isabella Guy, Matthew James (JJ) Guy Jr., David Aaron (AJ) Aguero Jr., Amaiya Lewis, Amari Lewis, Dashawn (Dash) Richard, Cierra Bradshaw, Brian Shalghon Jr., Kai Charles, Lia Richard, Maile Elizabeth Richard, Henry (Trey) Richard III, Jesse James Richard, Krista Marie Martinez, Kara Coryn Martinez, Kaiden Jude Martinez, Rebekah Ann Camacho, Delilah Ann Camacho, Layla Chelsea Mata, Caleb Cruz Rafael Mata, Talen Ernesto Mata, Caleb Vasquez, Luke Vasquez, Cameron Sheppard, Cassius Sheppard, Alberto Felipe Morales, Dante Castulo Morales, Reyna Jo Guevara, Catalea Guevara, Jayden Ordonez, Leia Sandoval, and numerous nieces and nephews. Castulo was a kind and loving family man who taught us how to love, have faith, and gave us strength. Remember Dad, you will be forever in our hearts! The burial is scheduled for July 17, 2021 at the Buena Vista Burial Park on McDavid Street in Brownsville, Texas. Time to be determined.
