David Hasti
Obituary
David Hasti, age 86, left us on February 24, 2023. His wife, family of 3 daughters and sons-in-law, 7 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild all visited with him during his last weeks. His sisters, Mary, Carol, Martha Jean, and Sylvia predeceased him. Dave grew up in Florida on a lake. His love of water continued throughout his life, thru sailing, windsurfing, and boating. After high school, he joined the Navy and served in the South Pacific. Dave decided to attend college when he finished his tour with the Navy. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida, Master of Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia, and PhD in physics from The University of Texas Austin. After his career at Sandia National Laboratories, he returned to "play in the water again".
His life and will to live will be remembered by all who knew him. If you knew Dave, Captain Dave, you can correctly assume that his First Mate Michelle wrote this with tears and memories of a wonderful life full of love.
Ashes will be spread and a celebration of his life will be planned in the future.
