Douglas Carl Payne

Douglas "Doug" Carl Payne Sr. went to be with our Lord on June 9, 2021. Mr. Payne was born on July 10, 1955 in Biloxi, MS to Cecil Douglas and Rose Ann Payne. In April of 1974, at the age of 18, Doug entered into the United States Army where he proudly served his country. During his service, Mr. Payne earned a National Defense Service Medal and was an expert with an M16 rifle. Douglas eventually settled down in Ingleside, TX and was married to his loving wife, Marisol Payne, for the past 10 years. Doug enjoyed fishing and was a family man that everyone loved and adored. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

Doug leaves behind to carry his legacy his wife; Marisol Payne; children; Douglas Carl Payne Jr., Michelle Rene Payne, Joshua Graf, Cassandra Payne, Monico Zarate, and Farah Shah; siblings; Penny Davis, Jill (Gary) Evans, Debrah (Jimmy) Nicholas, Scott Leonard (Mary Joy) Payne, and Mark Frederick Payne; along with 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Friday June 18, 2021 at Gracepoint Church located at 4755 Wildcat Drive in Portland, TX. A public viewing will be held at 3:00pm with a prayer service to start at 4:30pm. A private cremation service will be performed at a later date.
