Geraldine Ann (Dixon) Hudson

Geraldine Ann "Gerri" Hudson, 88, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 4, 2024.  She was born on September 30, 1935, in Kansas City, Missouri, and was the daughter of Frank & Leona (Freidel) Dixon.

Gerri graduated from Lincoln High School in Lincoln, Arkansas, and married Dale Hudson, the love of her life, in 1954.  Gerri was a loving mother and invested much of her life to care for her family full-time. Once her children began school, she worked at the public libraries in the many cities where they resided, as well as AT&T in Denver, Colorado.  Upon retirement in 1993, Gerri and Dale moved to Eureka Springs, Arkansas, to enjoy the quiet life and the various shows in Branson, MO.  They moved to Corpus Christi, Texas, in 2023 to be close to family once again.

Through the years, she stayed active in her church, especially teaching Bible stories to children and being a youth leader to the teens. Most recently, she was a member of Second Baptist Church of Corpus Christi, Texas. However, her greatest love, only second to her Lord, was her family. She was happiest when she was spending time with her children or grandchildren. They were the lights of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank & Leona Dixon and a great grandchild, Lincoln Grey Hudson.

Gerri is survived by her husband of 69 years, Floyd Dale Hudson; her children Steve Hudson (Donna) of Brunswick, Ohio; Rick Hudson (Janet) of Corpus Christi, Texas; Todd Hudson (Sarah) of Vienna, Austria; and Craig Hudson of Corpus Christi, Texas. In addition, she left behind her brothers John Dixon (Beth) and Jack Dixon (Trish), along with 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She loved them all dearly and deeply.

A celebration of life will be held for family members at a later date.
