Gloria (Escobedo) Cheatham

Our Lord ended Gloria Escobedo Cheatham’s pain and suffering on March 18th, 2021.  Gloria was born on December 14th, 1956 in a hospital in Sinton, Tx.  She worked for over 20 years at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Adan L. Escobedo and Aurora T. Escobedo, along with her oldest brother Adan Escobedo Jr (Gracie). 

Gloria leaves behind two amazing sons, Dwayne (Sabrina) Solis and step-son David (Becky) Solis Jr.  “Grandma Glo” also adored her three granddaughters, Savannah, Brianna and Isla Solis. 

Gloria is survived by her two sisters, Yolanda (Adolfo) Sanchez and Virginia (Israel) Lopez.  She is also survived by her two brothers, Juan (Lucy) Escobedo and Joe (Lisa) Escobedo.  In addition, Gloria is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. 

Gloria was a very hard working, independent, inspiring woman who was a glorious mother, sister, and friend.  Her smile was contagious and laughter was infectious.  Although Gloria struggled, she overcame adversity and enjoyed seeing her loved ones reach success.  Gloria really enjoyed her time off of work; in her spare time, she enjoyed watching Lifetime, listening to music (Mazz and Gary Hobbs), and playing card games with her family (it had to be for money though).  She will be missed greatly and will serve as a guardian angel for her loved ones. 

A rosary will be recited in her honor on Wednesday March 31, 2021 at 10:00am at St. Cyril Catholic Church in Corpus Christi, TX with a Funeral Mass to follow.
