Graciela M (Martinez) Lopez

Graciela M. Lopez passed away January 27, 2025. She was 67.

Gracie was born in Sinton, Texas on April 7, 1957, to Porfiria (Rivera) and Francisco Martinez. She was a lifelong resident of Taft. She was married to her husband Julian Lopez for 50 wonderful years. Gracie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

Gracie loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed her grandchildren the most. Whether it was supporting them in their different activities or just having them all together; they were her pride and joy. She holds a special place in each one of their hearts. Her hobbies were watching football and going gambling. Her favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys.

Gracie is preceded in death by her parents: Porfiria and Francisco Martinez; granddaughter: Jessica Pineda; brother: Francisco Martinez, Jr; and sister: Esther Martinez.

Survivors include her husband: Julian Lopez, Sr. from Taft, Texas; daughter: Jennifer Pineda, from Taft, Texas; son: Julian Lopez Jr. (Mandy) from Ingleside, Texas; granddaughters: Jasmine (Joseph), Jacquelyn, Janelle, and Jaslynn; grandsons: Tony, Jonathan, Mason, and Trey; brothers: Humberto (Janie) Martinez, Lupe (Elva) Martinez, Noe (Rosalinda) Martinez, and Edwardo Martinez; sisters: Angelina (Gonzalo) Bustos, Dolores (Donald) Wilson, Rosario Morales, and Rosemary Martinez; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, February 7, 2025, 900 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 120 E. Escobedo, Taft, Texas 78390. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 10:00 am followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Lamas Cemetery, Taft, Texas.
