Heather Rowin Obituary

Heather Rowin was always saying that she was just like Deadpool because she too was a "wheelbarrow of stage 4 cancer." But to the people who knew and loved her she was so much more.
Heather was born on November 6, 1978 to Dwight and Mary Ann. But to hear her tell it; she was found in a 'cabbage patch' and her siblings in a 'garbage pail'. She was probably correct.

Her life was not an easy one. From the time she was a teenager until the cancer prevented her from doing so, she worked hard. She struggled and fought for everything she had. In her last moments, she made it clear that she did not regret her sacrifices and would do it all again because her kids and grandkids were her whole world.  She was always there for anyone regardless of what they had done to her. Her door was always open - no matter the hour. She never judged anyone because she knew how that felt. But the thing that made Heather unique was her ability to forgive anyone even after they stabbed her in the back and destroyed her. Her heart and soul were the purest. She was the brightest light in this dark world.

Heather didn't experience many pleasures in this life but the ones that she did she enjoyed to the fullest. She loved going to the duck pond and feeding the ducks. She also got a kick out of terrorizing small animals - please note that no animals were harmed and they in fact loved it. She also enjoyed and took great pride in being a manager at Circle K (formerly Texas Star). She made life-long friends of her co-workers, employees and customers. She always had a smile on her face for everyone she met. But for Heather her greatest accomplishment and what gave her the greatest pleasure in life was her kids and grandkids.

She was a fighter. She never gave up. Not when life - and people - kept knocking her down. Not when stage 4 cancer entered the picture and tried saying 'Now I got you'. She did not give up - she fought with everything that was in her until the very end. She never lost her "I got this" attitude nor her dark sense of humor. Even when her body was tired and she couldn't move from the pain; she could still make a quiet room burst out with laughter.

On June 30th 2025; after 21 months of living with a dismal prognosis and giving it all she had, she left this mortal realm and moved on to one where she had her long hair again and will never experience pain again. Just know that the cancer did not win - she did not lose her fight. She waved her white flag and called a truce so she could finally get the rest that she deserved.
Heather leaves behind a dysfunctional family that she was very proud of and loved more than anything. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Zoey Marie Rowin, niece April Epps and brother Lawrance Woodard. She is survived by her children Tabitha (R.J. Soliz) Guardado, Desiree (Matthew Headen) Guardado , Destiny Rowin, Julian Guardado, Matthew Guardado, her grandchildren Annabelle Guardado, Alicia Headen, Alayah Headen, Zabriella Rowin, King Headen, Raymond Soliz, Tablynn Headen, Anastasia Soliz, Jose Gaona, Jaydan Gaona, Jeremiah Gaona, Jason Gaona, her these aren't my kids but they are my kids Kalika, Katrina and Faizon, her mother Mary Ann Woodard, siblings Laura Woodard, Douglas Rowin, Shannon Rowin and June (Hugh) Mitchell.

Heather was our mother, daughter, sister and friend. We know that wherever she is she is making jokes, laughing with the angels and playing with her granddaughter Zoey and niece April. We are at peace knowing that the brightest star in the sky is her letting us know that she is happy and without pain.
