Hector Calderon Castro

Hector C. Castro, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Bay Area Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas after a short illness.

Hector received his GED from Robstown, TX.  He attended Del Mar College and earned an Associates Degree in 1992. He began his career as a BioMed Technician and eventually went to work for Christus Spohn Shoreline Hospital for over 25 years.

Hector was divorced; however, his marriage led to precious memories with two wonderful sons, Michael A. Castro and Marc E. Castro.

Hector proudly served his country from 1970-1973 in the United States Army.

Hector is survived by his sons, Michael and Marc Castro.  Hector is preceded in death by his parents, Celestino G. Castro and Josefina C. Castro.

Services for Hector will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 3350 S. Alameda St., Corpus Christi, TX 78411.

Family will receive friends and family for visitation from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM.  The recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 11:00 AM followed by a funeral mass at 11:30 AM.  Interment will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 I-37, Corpus Christi, Texas 78410.
