Jack Neal II Obituary

Jack Otis Neal II was born November 5, 1966 in Kingsport, TN, Son of Kathryn Sue and Jack Otis Neal.  He then moved to Park Forest, IL ,  when he was a year old.  During his young days he played baseball and was a cub scout and boy scout in Homewood, IL.  Then they moved to Sepulveda, CA during his 8th grade year.  He completed his Eagle Scout 1978.  He was a graduate of Monroe High School in 1984 in Sepulveda, Ca. 

The family then moved to Huntington, CT in 1985.  He joined the Navy in 1985 completing boot camp at Great Lakes, IL in May1985.  He then completed his Missile Technician A-school in 1986.  He was assigned to the SSBN-626 Daniel Webster Nuclear Submarine stationed in Holy Loch, Scotland until 1992.  After completing his Navy contract, he moved to Port Aransas, TX in 1994.  

He started working for BHP Engineering for the start of his IT career in 1994 and was still working part-time until his passing.  In Jan 1999, he met Caren DeLong.  Caren and Jack were married in July1999.  Jack had the honor of becoming a Dad to Andrew Kramer as they began their new family.  He was active with Andrew with cub scouts and baseball (being his coach).  He was employed by Sherwin Alumna as a SQL Developer from Feb 2010 – 2017.  He made several trips to BHP Africa in Nigeria from 2007-2016.  Jack had a love of photography and spent a large part of his free time behind the camera. 

In 2012, he started Digital Horizon Photography.  He completed his Bachelor degree in IT Management in Oct 2015 from WGU Texas.  He completed the Dale Carnegie Leadership course in Oct2016.  He also completed his MBA in IT Management in 2016 from WGU Texas.  He was an active member of the South Texas Photography Group that meets at Jason’s Deli on Airline Rd where he had met many wonderful friends.  He was employed by Voestalpine from Jun2018-Feb2019.  In Feb 2019, he started working for Corpus Christi Polymers as the IT Manager until his passing.  He was taken by Covid Pneumonia on Dec 5,2020.  He will be missed by Many, but Never Forgotten.   Loving Husband, Dad, Son, Brother, Brother-in-law, Uncle, Cousin, Nephew, Grandson, Friend and SAILOR.
