Jerry graduated from Aransas Pass High School in 1980 where he played football and was a member of the high school band. Jerry was a successful Rig Welder in the oil and gas industry working on pipelines throughout the United States having been taught to weld by his father. Jerry was very generous and donated to many children's charities. Jerry was a muscle car enthusiast and an avid NHRA racing fan. Jerry was extremely intelligent, hardworking, and talented and there was nothing that Jerry could not repair or fix. One of his biggest accomplishments was designing and building his own home himself. Jerry was beloved by everyone that met him and leaves behind many friends.

Jerry is survived by his spouse, Margaret Muse Mack, his son Jared Mack, his daughter Brandy Mack Nunn (Morgan), grandson Colter Nunn, granddaughter Chloe Nunn, and brother Howard Wayne Mack (Dorothy), and his Nephew Aaron Mack.
