Jesus Munguia

Jesus Munguia, 80, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2023, in Rockport, TX.

Jesus Munguia was born on November 19, 1943 in Cuero, TX, to Juan Villarreal Munguia and Serafina (Saldana) Munguia.

Jesus was a long time resident of Corpus Christi, TX. He worked at Kroger's and as a maintenance man for a complex. He loved to play different instruments along with his brother, "The Munguia Brothers.

Jesus is survived by his sons Juan, Ray, Albert, Chris, Joe, and Nuno Munguia all of Corpus Christi, TX; his daughters Emma, Gracie, Kika, Belva, Brenda, Veronica Munguia, a brother, Macho Munguia (Janie) of Sinton, his sisters, Gloria Morales (Pastor Paul)of Persall, TX; Rosalinda Villarreal of Orange Grove, TX; Juanita Garcia (Alfredo) of Mathis, TX; sister-in-law Irma Gutierrez-Munguia of Orange Grove, Texas.

Also left to cherish the memory of Jesus are numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Jesus is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Carmen Munguia, his mother, Serafina Saldana Munguia; brother, Noe S Munguia; sister, Janie Espinoza; son, Chachie Munguia; daughter, Serafina Munguia.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 12 noon at Espiritu de Fe.
