Joe Rafael Borja

Joe Rafael Borja, Sr., 79, entered into eternal rest on May 10, 2022. Joe was a blessing to his loving parents Rafael and Teresa Borja; he was born on March 19, 1943 in Mexico City, Mexico, D. F.

Joe was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ, regularly serving as a parishioner at his church.

Joe was employed at Inland Steel Mill as an experienced and respected rigger until his retirement.

Joe will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Joe was welcomed into Heaven by his loving parents as well as his wife, Angelita Borja.

Left to cherish the many beautiful memories are his five children, Joseph (Charlene) Borja, Eddie Borja, Gabriel (Kimm) Vargas, Rosie (David) Sanchez and Elias Herrera, one sister Helen Alcoser, as well as 9 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.

Services for Joe will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church ·2447 Putnam St. · Lake Station, IN 46405. Services will begin at 9 AM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary followed by a Memorial mass immediately thereafter.

Interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery Association · 4401 Ridge Rd. · Gary, IN 46408
