Joe Gonzales

On the morning of January 25, 2021 our loving son, dad, brother, uncle and grandpa

passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 67 after a long illness.

Jose was born in Rockport, Tx on September 19,1953. He was a Gulf shrimper for most his life. He loved everyone especially all his nieces, nephews and grandchildren. He was always ready to help anyone that needed his help. He was a hard worker and tough as nails.

Jose was prededed in death by his father Jose Y. Gonzales, brother Leonardo Gonzales, nephew Brian Gonzales and ex wife Eva Solanas.

Jose is survived by his mother Juanita Gonzales, son Joe Anthony (Hannah) Gonzales, step children Amy Lee Herrera, Stephanie Ramirez and Rodney Cortez, sister Cindy (Mike) Mitchell, brothers Rick (Lisa) Gonzales and Johnny (Belinda) Gonzales, Mario (Savannah) Rodriguez.  Numerous grandchildren, nieces Jenny (Tommy) Berry and Debbie (Roy) Gonzales  and nephews, Leo (Shea) Gonzales, J.J. ( Alexandra) Gonzales, Aaron (Victoria) Gonzales, Jason (Jessica) Gonzales, Chris (Olivia) Gonzales, J.R. Romero,  Zac Romero and Dylan Gonzales.

As per Jose's request there will be no service, the family is planning the release of his ashes and a private celebration of life in the near future. The family would like to extend their gratitude, and special thanks to his daughter n law Hannah for his wonderful care , Hospice and all our wonderful family and friends that came together to help us with our finances for his cremation.
