In loving memory of John Anthony Brooks.
John passed away at the age of 76, peacefully at home, surrounded by his family.
John was born June 10, 1946 in Dearborn, Michigan. He served as an MP in the Army during Vietnam and upon his return home, married Deborah. From his simple beginnings as an apprentice, tool and diemaker for Ford Motor Company, to a precision tool maker for Whileys and finally finding a carrier in industrial electronics that he enjoyed, John had honed a mastery in quite an array of trades. His career took him all across the U.S.A. before he settled in Corpus Christi, Texas where he was contracted as the managing industrial electronic specialist bringing up, overseeing and maintaining the automated storage equipment at CCAD for over two decades before he retired 11 years ago.
John enjoyed working on a project and was always tinkering, fixing or creating something beautiful. The precision in which he planned, restored, or created was a gift from God that John humbly shared. It seemed as though anything he put his hand to would prosper. John was a master craftsman in wood and metal work, an artisan in furniture restoration, automotive restoration, industrial fabrication, a hobbyist, a gardener, and built a beautiful barn for his wife at the age of 74, all by himself.
One of John's favorite scriptures was Numbers 6:24-26, 24 "The Lord bless you and keep you; 25 the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; 26 the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace." It was John's deep faith and personal relationship with God that enameled him to flourish as a loving husband, Dad and Poppy.
John will be deeply missed by his wife Deborah of 53 years, his children Cathy (Greg), Angela who proceeded him in death, David his son, and grandchildren Angela, Gabrielle, Nicolas, and Andrea.
