John Paul Svorec

John Svorec, 60, passed away on August 3, 2024, in Corpus Christi, Texas.

He was born on November 4, 1963 in St. Joseph, MI, to Raymond Svorec and Shirley Svorec.

Originally hailing from Michigan, John found his way to Texas, where he settled down with the love of his life, Melissa Svorec. Together they had two children, Miranda and Tyler Svorec and many fur-babies throughout their years together.

John was a man of simple pleasures. He had a passion for fishing, spending countless hours on the water, enjoying the peace and quiet that nature offered. His love for working on his Oldsmobile, cutlass 442 was equally enduring, often found under the hood, tinkering with the engine, and finding joy in restoring life to the old vehicle.

A devoted fan of the Michigan Wolverines, John's Saturdays were often spent cheering on his team, regardless of the seasons outcomes. He also had a keen interest in NASCAR, following the races with enthusiasm and keeping up with his favorite drivers.

But more than his hobbies, John will be remembered for his unwavering loyalty and kindness. He was a great friend to many, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a laugh. His friends could count on him through thick and thin, and his presence was a source of comfort and joy.

Family meant the world to John. He valued the importance of togetherness, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones. He was a great cook and spent hours cooking for family gatherings. He is survived by his former wife, Melissa Svorec; his two children Miranda and Tyler Svorec, his mother Shirley Mason and his sister Teresa Donohue and her husband Randy and, his brother David Svorec and his wife Michelle.

John Svorec's passing leaves a void in the hearts of many, but his memory will live on in the stories, laughter, and love he shared with all who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace.
