Johnny Leon Shipp

Johnny Leon Shipp (JB) , 52 went to be with his Lord on December 12, 2021 while in Spohn hospital in Corpus christi, Texas recovering from surgery.
Johnny was born on February 20, 1969 in Aransas Pass, Texas to Johnny and Jerri Shipp.

Johnny is survived by his Mother and Father, Jeff Shipp - brother, Jerry Shipp - brother, Kaitlen Shipp - niece, Jessey Shipp - niece, Cecil Shipp Jr - uncle, William Vickery - uncle, Linda Coleman - aunt, Mary Sutton - aunt, Barbara Smith - aunt, Myra Vickery - aunt, Gail Ficklen - aunt and Linda Sander - aunt and his Love- Lisa Wright Rae.

Johnny is preceded in death by Cecil and Nina Shipp - grandparents, Alvin Vickery and Jo Marshall - grandparents, Robert Shipp - uncle, David Shipp - uncle, Lulu Ficklen - cousin, Zora Mowles - cousin.

Johnny graduated from Kingsville High School. He spent most of his career working in the oilfield as a mechanic. For the last 22 years,until his death, he was working for and helping manage the family owned business. He would always apply his exceptional mechanical abilities to his work and also apply those skills to help others in need at no cost to them. He was a very giving and caring person. He had many cousins ,life long friends and acquaintances.

Whenever he wasn't working, his focus was on fishing. Lisa also loves fishing as much as he did and they were very successful at it.

Johnny ( JB ) will be truly missed by all who loved and knew him.

The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers .

A memorial will be held in his honor at a time to be determined.
