Joe laid down to take a nap on August 3rd and the Lord took him home. Joe was born September 1, 1951 to Oscar Pemberton and Rebecca Smith in Atlanta, Georgia. Joe leaves behind a loving wife, Frankie, of 50 years; daughter, Joni; several cousins, nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends. Joe was a kind man with such a big heart. He saved the lives of several people and tried to help many others. What a jokester, Joe never missed an opportunity to make someone laugh. Joe had a great passion for family, friends, fishing and hunting and everything he did in life. Service will be held at Roberts Point Park Pavilion at 10:30 a.m. on September 1. It’s Port A, come as you are. He would’ve loved that.
