Juanita Castillo, 72, passed away on November 20, 2021, surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
Juanita Castillo was born on October 1, 1949 in Alice, TX, to Daniel Castillo and Aurora Alvarado Castillo.
Juanita married Jose Seballez; their union led to a beautiful family of four children: Francisco (Melissa) Leal, Brenda (Alvin) Francis, Joey (Lisa) Seballez, Nastassia (Wayne) Vasquez.
Juanita had thirteen grandchildren, each holding a special place in her heart: Elizabeth, Andre, Anthony, Alyssa, Jose, Jasmin, Markus, Adrian, Mallory, Jacob, Nathaniel, Travis, Molly. Juanita was also blessed with three beautiful great-grandchildren: Emilianna, Renaye, and Lae’ola.
Juanita was best known for her love of bingo and the unconditional love she had for her family.
Also left to cherish the beautiful memory of Juanita is her mother, Aurora Castillo. her brothers, Pedro (Lupe), Roberto (Lupe), Joe (Irma), Daniel, Tony (Elvira), Andres (Dora), Gabriel (Cindy), Arturo (the late Adriana) and her sister Yolanda Valenzuela, all of Corpus Christi.
Juanita is preceded in death by her father, Daniel Castillo, brother, Roman Castillo, her sisters Guadalupe Gonzales and Alicia Castillo.
A memorial service for Juanita Castillo will be held on Friday, November 26, 2021 at St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, with recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at 2:00 PM. Holy Mass will follow immediately thereafter.
The family would like to thank Rockport Nursing and Rehab for the compassionate care provided by all the staff. Our gratitude is especially extended to Nurse Connie and Nurse Denise, Holy Savior Hospice Nurse, Jessica, and all our family that spent their time at Mom’s side during her last days.
