Judith Ann Pennock passed away August 16th in Corpus Christi at 80 years of age. She was born February 21st, 1943 in St. Louis, Mo. to Cecil and Dorothy Pugh. She graduated from Quincy High School in 1961. After high-school Judy married Ronnie Harness of Ursa, Il and had five children. She pursued a career in nursing and graduated from Blessing Hospital School of Nursing and worked as an RN at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Il.
In 1980 Judy moved to Dallas, TX and made her way south to Corpus Christi where she found her forever home. Judy fell in love with Corpus and never wanted to leave. She worked as an RN at Memorial Medical Center Hospital for several years in the Burn Unit and ICU. She eventually went on to work at Bay Area Medical Center ICU until her retirement. After her retirement she worked part-time for Legacy Home Health Care.
It was in Corpus that she met the love of her life, Charles Pennock and they were married in 1998. On her days off, she and Charlie would go fishing at the beach where she loved to spend most of her time. Her other hobbies included crocheting and working on her house of which she was so proud of. Thankfully, she was able to stay in her home until shortly before her death. Judy was a member of St. Patrick's Church until it became too difficult for her to attend.
Judy was a loving and generous wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She is survived by her devoted husband Charlie, children-Kevin Harness, Kim (Dennis) Harper, Connie Harness, Cathy Garcia and Kent (Becky) Harness. She has ten grand-children, Jessica (Ryan) Shaugnessy, Amanda (Mark) Gonzalez, Veronica, Jake and Jenny Garcia, Aaron (Kelsey) Harper, Evan and Connor Harper, Nathan and Ethan Harness. She also has six great-grandchildren, brother Doug Pugh, sister Lori (Andre) Odijk and nieces and nephew Dana (David) Richardson, Angela and Pascal Odijk. She has several cousins in Missouri and Illinois as well. She also leaves behind her "puppy" Roy.
Judy is deeply loved and will be greatly missed but we take comfort knowing she is free of pain and eternally with her beloved grandmother Ona Staggs.
