Karl Arceneaux, devoted husband, loving father, and ace forging engineer, died on Monday, August 9 of heart failure. He was 82. Karl was born in Rayne, Louisiana, the fourth child and only son of Fabien & Annie Richard Arceneaux. He is survived by three sisters Dot Johnston, Gayle Witherwax and twin sister Joyce Arceneaux.
He graduated from Southern Louisiana Institute with a Certificate in Mechanical Engineering and moved to Beaumont, Texas in 1961 for his first job at IDECO. There he met Carolyn Voight, who would soon become the love of his life. They married in June of 1962 and spent 59 years together in a happy, loving home. He is survived by Carolyn, their three sons, Kenneth, Keith and Kevin, nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. His family will miss him dearly.
