Leon Odie Karr

Leon Odie Karr, 84, of Sandia, Texas passed away on June 23, 2023.

He was born on January 18, 1939 in Raymondville, Texas to Odie Karr and Dollie McIntyre Karr. He attended school in Raymondville before furthering his education at Texas A&I in Kingsville, where he met his beloved wife of nearly 60 years, Mariella Duncan.

Leon was an accomplished automobile dealer, mobile home dealer, real estate developer, and RV dealer. Leon proudly served his country as a member of the Army Reserve.

Leon was a man of many interests and hobbies. He enjoyed studying, sailing, flying, fishing, travel, and martial arts.

Leon was a devoted family man survived by his daughter Kim (Don) Rokohl, his son Kurtis (Patricia) Karr, his grandchildren Brandon (Julissa) Rokohl, Kara (Leif) Anderson, Dollie (Justin) Batson, Mary Rokohl, Kathy Karr, and great granddaughter Lauriella Rokohl. He is also survived by his dear companion Margaret Fanchier, and many other beloved friends and family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister June, brother Don, and wife Mariella.

Rest in peace, Leon. You will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved you.

Leon's Memorial Service will take place at Safe Harbor Fellowship, 4215 S. Staples Street, Corpus Christi, Texas at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 8, 2023.
