M. Sue (West) Collins

M. Sue West Collins passed away on August 12, 2024 with her family by her side. She was born January 29, 1950 to Charles and Mickey West. Sue was a spirited, passionate person who loved God, Family and her Waldron Road Baptist Church family.

Sue led a full life as a Registered Nurse who cared for others in the operating room of Memorial hospital, then as a home health RN for psychiatric patients.

In her personal life, she was an avid sailor who even lived aboard a 42 ft Irwin sailboat for many years. Her love of music and dancing anywhere at any time will be remembered by all who loved her.

She is survived by her husband Jerry Collins; her two children Stephen West his wife Patty, and Kristy Staebel; her grandchildren, Chase West, Elizabeth Branton and her husband Kaleb, Angelica Garcia and her wife Mimi Stemple; her great-granddaughters Violet West Branton and Autumn Garcia; her niece and nephew Cory West and Dan West.
A Memorial in her honor will be held on Saturday, August 24th, 1:00 PM at Waldron Road Baptist Church.
