Mary Herrera was born on November 8, 1941, in Aransas Pass, Texas, to Rafael and Elvira Gonzales Moreno. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rafael and Elvira Gonzales Moreno, her husband Raymundo Herrera, son Mike Herrera, and brothers Apolonio, Silviano, Florencio and Juan Moreno and her sisters Felipa Moreno and Celia Garcia.
She is survived by her children Raymundo Herrera Jr. (Petra) of Premont, Roland Herrera of Rockport, and Rose Marie Trevino (Jesus) of Rockport, her grandchildren Heather Herrera, David Smith, Angelica Trevino and Walter Sevilla, as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Mary was a life-long resident of Rockport, and had a long career cooking for Charlotte Plummer's Seafare Restaurant until retiring at age 76. She possessed a strong work-ethic, a devotion to family and friends, and a love for good food, and most of all a sustaining faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a loving mother, a proud grandmother, and a good friend. She will by missed by her family, friends and community.
