Mary Linda Tucker Lee passed away peacefully at age 79 on Monday, October 28, 2024 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Linda was born September 5, 1945, to Mary Louetta and William Jesse Tucker, in Jourdanton, Texas. She grew up there and graduated from Jourdanton High School in 1963.
Linda was married to Wilson David Lee (later divorced) and they had two children together. Her children were her greatest source of pride and she loved her family deeply. She also leaves behind friends from her time working for Tuloso-Midway ISD as well as her church family.
Linda was quick to laugh and very creative. She was a passionate quilter and all things sewing/crafting, avid reader, and loved checking in with friends and family on Facebook. Linda loved growing up in the 50's with the cars, clothes, and music. Elvis was a favorite and the trip to Graceland, a treasured memory. A favorite Christmas memory was giving her a signed picture of Sam Elliott, her biggest crush, and of course, she just laughed.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Billie and Jackie Tucker. Linda leaves behind her son, William David Lee (Wynndee) and daughter Suzann Hobbs (Jeffery), and grandchildren Kelsey Kenyon (Jack), Caitlin Hobbs (Colby), Samantha Holden (Matt), J.D. Hobbs (Jenna) and Maddison Hobbs, along with great grandchildren Walter, Hadlee, and three on the way.
A Celebration of Linda's life will be held at the Arlington Heights Church of Christ at 10:30 AM, Saturday, November 2, 2024. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests gifts to the Church of Christ.
