Melvin E. "Huck" Moore, 86, died peacefully at home on February 17, 2023.
"Huck" was born on June 9, 1936 in Beaver County, Oklahoma. After graduating from Western Oklahoma State College, he moved to Woodland Park, Colorado where he owned and operated the Melvin E. Moore Excavation Company. In retirement, he and his wife Harriett RV'd throughout the United States before settling in Rockport.
"Huck" attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Harriett and was enrolled in its RCIA program.
"Huck" is preceded in death by his sister, Vivian Graves and his brothers, Vernan (Joyce) Moore and Vearl (Barbara) Moore.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Harriett, his sister Carolyn Myers, four step-daughters Belinda DiSivio, Julia (Robert) Livio, Gina (Mitch) Sturde and Veronica Hahn-Smith, four step-grandsons, Jack and James DiSilvio and Alex and Jake Sturde and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family is grateful for the support of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Community and all the wonderful staff of Harbor Hospice.
