Nina R. Casias
June 10, 1952 - January 2, 2026
Nina R. Casias, age 73, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026, in Corpus Christi, Texas, after bravely facing a long battle with Parkinson's disease.
Born on June 10, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan, to Jose Ramon and Josephina Ramon, Nina lived a life defined by compassion, curiosity, and dedication. She is survived by her lifelong partner, Carlos A. Gonzales; her brother, Bobby Anderson; and numerous cousins who loved her dearly.
Nina had a deep passion for gardening and a lifelong love of animals, finding joy in nurturing every living thing around her. Her kindness was unmistakable-she was always ready to lend a hand, offer comfort, or brighten someone's day.
Throughout her life, Nina explored many career paths, each reflecting her curiosity and commitment to making a difference. Among her proudest accomplishments was serving in Washington, D.C., where she assisted Congressman Solomon Ortiz during his tenure representing the State of Texas. This role was one she deeply cherished, as it reflected her dedication to service and community.
In accordance with Nina's wishes, no formal services will be held. Friends and loved ones are encouraged to honor her memory in their own meaningful ways-whether by tending a garden, caring for an animal, or offering kindness to someone in need.
