With deep sorrow and hearts full of love, the family of Olive 'Aleta' Trigg announce her passing on February 8, 2023. She made the world better for 93 years, and forever shaped the lives of her family and friends.
Born in Fisk, TX on November 8, 1929, her parents, Chester and Etta Ballard, welcomed their newest baby girl. Leta would soon become one of 15 children, which she fondly regarded as one of the biggest blessings of her life. When she spoke of her childhood, it brought her so much happiness. She told of stories on the farm with her best friends (her brothers and sisters), and she would share how much she loved her daddy, and worked her whole life to be as good, and kind, and loving as her momma. Leta graduated high school and soon married James Trigg, her dear husband of 64 years. They had one of those great love stories that remind you just how sweet life can be. The couple had 3 children, Danny Wayne, Jana Kay, and Steven Ray Trigg.
James took them on adventures, by land and by sea. She saw the world and took many pictures but her favorite place to be, was always home.
Leta has joined her parents, many siblings, her husband, James Trigg, son, Danny Wayne Trigg, and daughter, Jana Kay Hale, in Heaven.
Left to cherish her memory are her brother, Chester Ballard, sister, Joan Stanton and her husband, Don, son, Steven Trigg and his wife, April, nieces and nephews whom she claimed as her own, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
How lucky we are to have known and been loved by one of the greats. She gave the best hugs, made the tastiest pies, and never forgot a birthday. She was one of those people who just had that sparkle where you felt so loved. Her story will be told for generations to come.
To the best mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend - you are forever loved and dearly missed.
"You have a place in my heart no one else ever could have." - F. Scott Fitzgerald
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements were entrusted to All Faith Cremation & Funeral Services of Ingleside, TX, serving the coastal bend.
