Patricia Suzanne (Field) Lindley

Patricia Suzanne Lindley, lovingly known as Susie, was born on August 16, 1961, to Sammy Dee Field and Patsy Ruth Brookshire. She passed away on October 26, 2025, at the age of 64, after a challenging battle with cancer.

Susie is survived by her daughter, Shanna Shaw and her husband Wesley of Portland, Texas; her son, Nick LaVine and his wife Jessica of Houston, Texas; her sisters, Kim Bryand of Stanton, Texas, and Lisa Morgan and her husband Frank of Sanger, Texas; five grandchildren - Hannah Ware, Ethan Shaw, Madylin Shaw, Juliette LaVine, and Savannah LaVine; one great-granddaughter, River Ware; and many more beloved family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Rebecca Lynn Field, and her furry little best friend, Lucy.

From a young age, Susie found joy in reading - a love that stayed with her throughout her life. She had a special place in her heart for dogs and cared deeply for them, especially her Lucy. Above all, Susie adored her children and grandchildren. Her greatest happiness came from giving - she loved surprising her loved ones with thoughtful gifts and seeing the joy they brought.

Susie had a sweet tooth for chocolate, a love for Jesus, and a deep fondness for old church hymns like the ones her mama used to sing. Her generous spirit, loving heart, and gentle presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the many thoughts, prayers, and kindness shown during this time. The family will celebrate Susie's life with a memorial service at a later date, surrounded by those who loved her most.
