Patsy Nell McLester Parr, of Rockport, TX, passed away at her home, with her family at her side, on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the age of 93 years.
Patsy was born on November 30, 1931, to Jettie Olga and Theodore McLester, in their home in Rockport, TX. After completing school in Rockport, she married the only love of her life, ElRoy (PeeWee) Parr also of Rockport, on Valentines Day, 1953. Patsy worked at the Maritime Marine Lab in Rockport, at the Sanddollar Hotel, the Aransas County Court House, and Wells Fargo Bank, from which she retired.
She enjoyed history, and as a member of the Aransas County Historical Society, she contributed several old photos that have been published in their calendar over the years. She was also a proud member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. She spent many hours and traveled many miles studying her family's genealogy. She loved to share the stories and photos that she uncovered.
Patsy and PeeWee took great joy int their mischievous gambling trips to WinStar and Eagle Pass with family. Patsy's extended family enjoyed gathering at her home.
Patsy is survived by her two sons, ElRoy Parr, Jr and wife Linda of Normanna, TX, and Errol Duane (Bubba) Parr and wife Barbara of Rockport, and like-a-daughter Hazel Willis and husband Richard of Burnet. Also left to cherish Patsy's memory are her grandchildren Mary Dawn Parr of Oregon, Jonathan Parr of Delphos, Ohio, Jennifer Parr of Corpus Christi, Tracy Denison of Rockport, and Tiffany Skye Parr Echols of Virginia Beach, Virginia, her step grandchildren Katie Harvey of Rockport, Brandy (Bill) Murtha of Rockport, and Crystal O'Reilly of Corpus Christi, thirteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. Close nieces Carol McLester Gilson and Tina Moore Aguirre. She is deeply loved and respected by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Patsy is preceded in death by her parents, and siblings Marvin Dean (Pete) McLester of Rockport, Jerry (Betty) McLester of San Antonio, Lois Ann McLester (Kenneth) Moore of Woodsboro, Barbara McLester (Clois) Hayden of Rockport, and Nancy McLester (Travis) Gage of Tyler, and by her beloved husband ElRoy Parr.
Final arrangements are entrusted to All Faith Cremation and Funeral Services in Ingleside, TX. The family will hold a Celebration of Life on October 18, 2025, at 4:00 pm, at the McLester Family Cemetery in Sparks Colony, followed by a meal and fellowship honoring Patsy at Butter Churn in Aransas Pass. We will miss her beautiful smile and constant love and support, but we are so grateful for the many years we had with her.
