REBECCA RUIZ (RUIZ) AVENDANO

REBECCA AVENDANO, 72, passed away on August 4, 2021, in CORPUS CHRISTI, TX.

REBECCA AVENDANO was born on December 23, 1948 in Corpus Christi, TX, to Bonifacio Ruiz and Francisca Ruiz.
REBECCA graduated from Roy Miller High School in1968.
She started her career as a Physical therapy tech and went on to work for Memorial Hospital for many Years.

REBECCA had 1 child, RITA AVENDANO-Valero.

REBECCA was best known for her hilarious sense of humor and contagious laugh. She was also known for her love of music her favorite artists were Ramon Ayala y Sus Bravos Del Norte, Grupo Mazz, Grupo Massore and last but not least Mr. 305 Pitbull she loved to shake it. Rebecca was also a huge San Antonio Spurs fan, her favorite player was Manu Ginobili, you could not get her off the couch once the game was on. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her daughter and son-in-law whether it was going on family vacations, just out shopping, having lunch or especially when her son-in-law would cook her his delicious BBQ at her request. He had her very spoiled. She had a very special place in her heart for her fur babies (she loved her chihuahuas).

REBECCA is survived by RITA AVENDANO-Valero (Arnulfo "Abi" Valero) - daughter and son-in-law.

REBECCA is preceded in death by Bonifacio Ruiz - father, Francisca Ruiz - mother
Juanita Garcia (Jose)- sister and brother-in-law, Desiderio Montez- brother-in-law.

The service for Rebecca Ruiz Avendano will be held on August 14, 2021, at 9:30am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church 710 S. 19th St Corpus Christi, TX 78405.

Visitation: August 14, 2021, at 9:30-11:00 at St Joseph's Catholic Church with Rosary beginging at 11:00 and Mass to follow.
