It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rafael "Ralph" Baez Jr., on Saturday, Dec 28, 2024. A man of boundless energy, humor, and love, Ralph left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.
Ralph was a dedicated painter by trade, working tirelessly with pride and passion to provide for his family through his business of more than 50 years, Baez Painting. His work was not just a job but a testament to his unwavering commitment to his loved ones. Beyond his trade, Ralph's zest for life was evident in his many passions. He loved singing mariachi music, filling every room with his powerful voice and undeniable spirit.
Ralph shared more than 40 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Olga. Together, they embarked on countless adventures on and off the dance floor, from their trips visiting family and friends to their cherished weekly karaoke and game room nights. Their bond was a shining example of joy, partnership, and unconditional love.
A devoted father to his six daughters, Julie Baez Prebula, Nancy Baez, Ruby Olivares, Krystal Palumbo, Pearl Baez Briseño and Jade Baez; Ralph's love knew no bounds. He was the kind of dad who had a special bond with each of his daughters. He wasn't just a provider but a source of strength, guidance, and endless humor. His family could always count on him for support, whether it was answering calls about the lottery, racing, or simply sharing a laugh.
Ralph's love for speed and racing hot rods was legendary. His daring spirit and enthusiasm for life were reflected in every engine he revved and every tire he burnt. He would often joke about donations for his "race car fund" or "daddy support" bringing smiles to those around him.
As a grandfather, lovingly called "Geepa," or as "Uncle Ralph" to so many of his nieces and nephews, Ralph continued to share his warmth and wisdom, creating memories and skills that will be cherished forever. He was the life of every party, whether dressing up for a night out, Halloween or playing Santa, you got the same fun-loving man every time that everyone adored.
Ralph's legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the memories he created. His family will forever treasure his laughter, his larger-than-life presence, and the love he so generously gave.
He is survived by his wife, Olga, his 3 sisters, Enriqueta (Ramon) Miranda, Trini (Octavio) Aleman, Maria Elena Barretto and Carmela Sanchez, his 6 daughters, 10 grandchildren, and countless friends and family who loved him dearly.
Rest in peace, Ralph. Thank you for everything you gave us-your love, your laughter, and your unforgettable spirit. You will remain in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers forever. Until we meet again.
