Raquel Rosario Fernandez

Raquel Rosario Fernandez, 80 years of age was surrounded by her family when she left this earth to meet her Lord and Savior on July 18, 2021.

Raquel was born on January 18, 1941 in Hebbronville, Texas to the late Enrique and Diamantina Vela. She was one of eight children, five siblings awaited her in heaven.

Raquel is preceded in death by her late husband Jesus Fernandez Jr.

She is survived by her children Jesus Fernandez III, Sylvia Whitaker, Mary (Thomas) Dick, Peter John Fernandez, Maria De Jesus Caballero, Marco Antonio (Sandy Jo) Fernandez, Louis Fernandez, Johnny Fernandez; she had 14 grandchildren,18 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at St. Patrick's Church, 3350 S. Alameda St., Corpus Christi, TX 78411 starting at 10:00am with a committal service to take place at 2:00pm at Seaside Cemetery.

Raquel will always be remembered for her beautiful singing voice and the love she had for her family
