Ron was born December 6, 1951 in Pittsfield, IL. Ron and his brother, Ed, were raised by loving parents Pascal and Lillian Love, in Gladstone, MO, a suburb of Kansas City.
He graduated from Oak Park High School in 1969. He joined the Navy that year and was stationed in San Diego, CA. However, a severe ankle injury led to him being honorably discharged after only a few months.
After excelling at Computer Programming school, Ron was hired by Kansas City Southern Railway as a Computer Programmer Analyst where he spent his entire 20+ year career.
Ron and Marta were married March 2, 1974 and raised their sons, Josh and Zach in the Parkville, MO area.
He loved Classic Rock & Roll music, Sudoku puzzles, reading books, and classic hot rod cars. He loved to travel - his last few years were spent fulfilling his lifelong dream of living in a motorhome.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marta, brother Ed Love, sons Josh and Zach, and six Grandsons; Dylan, Mason, Brendan, Austin, Carter, and Jensen.
