Ronald(Ron) Nettleton was born on September 25, 1959 to Leo and Beatrice Nettleton. While in high school he enjoyed playing sports, including track and football. Shortly after graduating from high school in 1979, he joined the Coast Guard. Ron was extremely proud to have served, as he considered it one of the greatest achievements of his life. He retired from the service in 2000, after serving 20 years.
Ron accepted Christ in 2018 and is an honorary member of Rockport first Assembly of God. His relationship with God meant a lot to him. He has gone home to be with his Jesus.
Ron was very affectionate and dedicated himself to putting the needs of others before his own. Ron was known for his witty sense of humor and his endless search for pink elephants. He loved his family and loved spending time with his grandkids, who held a special place in his heart. Ron was also a big sports enthusiast and especially enjoyed watching football.
A celebration of life will take place in Texas and in Michigan at a later date.
