Scott Moody Obituary


Scott Moody, 54, passed away on June 8, 2021, in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Scott Moody was born on May 6, 1967 in Tulsa, OK, to Glenn Moody and Diana Giddens Moody.
Scott graduated from Flour Bluff High School in 1987. Scott was known for his excellent sales capabilities and his dedication to his work. He started selling cars with his father as a young teenager, by the time he was 23, he opened his first car lot, The Auto Shack which later became S&R Enterprise. He later worked for Time Warner Cable as a sales representative. From the day he started until the day he resigned, Scott held the number one salesman position in the nation each month. He was honored many times throughout his 10 year career with Time Warner Cable. He later ventured into the home security business and started his own company, Ion Alarms. After several years he branched out and became part owner of Echelon Home Theater and Security.

Scott married Margarita Herrera Moody on November 3, 2012 in Laredo, Texas, Webb County. 

Scott was best known for his kindness, compassion, and a giving heart to all those he met. 

Scott is survived by Margarita Herrera Moody - wife, his two sons, Kevin Scott Moody and Kyle Eric Moody, his two sisters April Hughes, and Tammy Snipes (Craig). He also leaves behind Vianca Lopez (Jacob), Arnold Cipriano (Valerie), Petty Officer Anthony S. Chavez (Adriana), and his loving grandchildren Amaya, Aidan, Avery, DJ and Nykko. 
Scott is preceded in death by his father Glenn Moody, his mother Diana Giddens Moody and grandmother, Margarite Bishop.

A memorial service for Scott Moody will be held on Friday, June 18, at 2:00 PM at Second Baptist Church, 6701 S. Staples St. in Corpus Christi, Tx. Pastor Dana Moore will officiate the service.
