Sharon Kay (Knori) George

Sharon George, 78, passed away on October 24, 2022, in Houston, Texas.

Sharon was born on April 12, 1944 in Nowata, Oklahoma to Wilbur and Hertha Gorath Knori.

Sharon graduated from Oologah-Talala in 1962. Being 5'10" tall, Sharon was an excellent basketball player. She was the second highest scorer in Oklahoma.

Sharon attended Business School. After business school, she was employed by the United States Navy Department in Washington D. C. She subsequently was employed with Sun Oil in Tulsa, Oklahoma and later with Mobil Oil Company in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Sharon married Billy George of Corpus Christi, Texas in 1972. They made their home in Portland, Texas

Sharon enjoyed her backyard and flowers, sewing, cooking and baking. She loved sharing her baked goodies with everyone and caring for her beloved Lucy Dog.

Sharon had a very good heart and shared her love with everyone. Being a Christian woman, she loved her church family and thoroughly enjoyed life.

We will greatly miss her beautiful smile and outlook on life.

Sharon is survived by her brother, Larry (Janet) Knori, and Gerald (Kim) Knori, and her step-daughters, Karen George and Carol Ann Gage.

Services will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 11:00 AM at North Bay Church of Christ.
