Sherry Lynne Martin

Sherry Martin, 72, passed away on March 26, 2024, in Portland, Texas.

Sherry Martin was born on March 26, 1952 in Leadwood, Missouri, to James and Mildred Mason. Sherry graduated from Potosi High School in 1970 and went on to earn a high school diploma.

Sherry married Thomas Martin on March 20, 1970 in Potosi, Missouri. The couple had 4 children, Thomas J. Martin, Jr. (Wisconsin), Anthony L. Martin spouse Jennifer M. Martin ( Cresson, TX), Heather D. Sanchez spouse Christopher L. Sanchez ( Corpus Christi, TX) Kathleen M. Bludworth spouse James D. Bludworth (Baytown, TX). With time, the family grew to include 13 grandchildren, Timothy, Kristin, Ryan, Shane, Tyler, Cooper, Richie, Rene, JJ, Charlotte, Jocelyn, Zoe, & Savannah and 3 great-grandchildren, Jace, Serenity & Jaxon.

Sherry was best known for being a loving wife to her husband Tom for 54 years, playing the piano, loving her children & grandchildren unconditonally, being a St. Louis Cardinals fan, doing puzzles with her grandchildren & being a big part of the church community.

Sherry is survived by her husband, Thomas Martin, her children, & grandchildren.

Sherry is preceded in death by her parents, James & Mildred Mason, two brothers, Ronald & Jerry Mason.

The service for Mrs. Sherry Martin will be held on March 30, 2024, at 12-2pm at 2201 Hickory Dr, Portland, TX 78374.
