Shirley Lynn Collins, 85, of Taylor, Tx, passed away on April 18th, 2021, in Corpus Christi, Tx. Lynn was surrounded by her loved ones.
Lynn was born in Taylor, Tx, to Sonny & Gladys Watson on January 7th, 1936. She went to school at Alice High School in Alice, Tx. She married David M. Collins Sr. on January 20th, 1956, in Kingsville, Tx. She worked and was co-owner of Collins Supply Inc. for over 24 years.
Lynn was an avid fan of the Houston Astros, San Antonio Spurs, and THE Dallas Cowboys. She enjoyed eating Dairy Queen soft serve ice cream cones with her grandchildren. She will be remembered for always winning, "Best Decorated House for Christmas", in her neighborhood. She will also be remembered for her love for the family card game-Skip Bo.
Lynn is preceded in death by her parents, Sonny & Gladys, along side her brother, Joe Douglas. She is also preceded in death by her former husband, David M. Collins Sr., and her first daughter, Sunnye Lynn Hubble.
Lynn is survived by her cousin, Barbara Livin Peters. She is survived by her son, David M. Collins Jr. (Meredith) and her daughter, Robin Gale (Romo). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Shelby Lynn, Meaghan Nicole, Bryan David, Summer Calais, & Brandy Michelle. She is survived by her loving great grandchildren--Jordan, Judith, Jonathan, James, Reese, Jordan Jr., Jacob, & Mae.
Lynn is survived by her two loving dogs, Bear & Brewster.
Lynn is gone but never forgotten.
Funeral and Burial Services are private. A celebration of life for Lynn will be held at a later date.
