Teresa Hornburg Mitchell, 65, passed away in her home in Woodsboro, Texas September 15, 2023. She was born on June 21, 1958 in Refugio, Texas to Thomas Hornburg and Martha (Summerall) Hornburg.

Teresa was raised in Refugio, Texas and graduated from Refugio High School and attended college in Waco, Texas.

Teresa made the most of everyday! Her enthusiasm for life was obvious.

Teresa was a native of Bayside, Texas so her love of the outdoors was literally in her blood! Her hobbies included fishing, kayaking, entertaining, the beach, getting stuck, and gambling.

If you met her you would not forget her!

A celebration of Teresa's life will be held on November 18, 2023, at the Bauer/Grey Bay House in Bayside, Texas. Friends and family will gather to honor Teresa's memory and share stories of the impact she had on their lives.

Teresa was survived by her beloved dog Hank, two stepsons Jeremy and Nat Mitchell of Dallas,Texas, two nieces, Stephanie Simmons Gutermuth of Timpson, Texas, Heather Simmons Stewart of Nacodgoches, Texas.

Teresa is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Martha Hornburg and a sister Laura Hornburg.
