Terry Lawrence (Terry Dowding) Dowding

After a few short months of courting, Terry Dowding met and married the love of his life Linda Amego on December 16th, 1995. Terry and Linda then spent the next 28 years traveling the world and experiencing life in ways many only dream of. The Dowding's shared the joy of buying, selling, and even building several homes during their time together but ended their journey in a house on wheels. Anyone who knows Terry knew of his travels as he loved to share his experiences. He had a passion for taking photos of the picturesque landscapes and talking about the history of that location. He adored meeting and greeting new people. However, his true love was razzing someone up at every opportunity with his uncanny wit and humor.

Terry is survived by two younger brothers and their families: Brother Alfred Dowding with wife Linda, their sons Thomas and Nathan with wife Amber, grandchildren Maverick and Noah, Brother Glen Dowding with wife Tammy, their children Courtney and Ashley with husband Matt, grandchildren Paul, Phillip, Lillian, Karlie, and Brett. Terry had a special friendship and brotherhood with Steven Amego and his family. Terry is also survived by his beloved wife Linda M Dowding and his daughters Tracy Mayhew and Denise Barcelona with husband Travis and their 5 children Kaycee, Destini, Rhiannon, Savannah, and Isabel. He is notably survived by an array of friends and acquaintances that he has met and befriended over his many years of travel. Terry leaves behind an amazing community in Rockport Texas from all his Bay View Resort friends and neighbors to his co-workers at J&J's Car wash, not to mention the many friends and past co-workers that he met and cared for in all his years of living the dream.

In Heaven Terry was greeted by his grandson Robert Mayhew, his 2nd nephew Lucas, his friend and family Sue Amego, and his parents Paul and Doris Dowding. Although Terry was taken far too soon, far too fast, and far too unexpectedly - he goes out of this world doing what he does best which is traveling into his next adventure. He will continue to be a beacon of love and joy in our thoughts as we reminisce on all his amazing stories. Terry Dowding made his mark on this world and will continue to make his mark on our hearts and in our minds.
