Thomas Nier Obituary
Dr. Thomas J. Nier passed away peacefully at his home April 12, 2021 at age 80
Tom dealt with Parkinsons disease for about the last 20 years of his life.
With a PhD in chemistry, he had a varied career in industry and also taught at Incarnate Word Academy and Del Mar College. Tom had 8 U.S. patents to his name. He was an avid military medal collector and member of OMSA for over 50 years.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margot, his brother Richard (Rita), sons Stephen and Theodore (Lucy) , two grand daughters and 5 great grandchildren, two nephews, 5 nieces and their children.
A private service and celebration of his life will be held for his family.
