William Fredrick Robinson II "Fred" was born September 19th, 1935 and passed away on April 25th, 2021. Fred was born in Glendale, California to Spencer Lee Robinson and Marjorie Anita Stewart Robinson. Growing up in his younger years Fred loved spending time with his family, camping, fishing, and going to the ocean. He always had a great love for the water. As a teenager they relocated to Springville Utah where Fred graduated from Springville high school in 1953. Fred loved his country and shortly after high school he joined the U.S. Navy onboard USS Cusk and USS Diodon. He served 4 years in the Navy and had very fond memories of his service including participating in the regulus missile program. After his service in the U.S. Navy he returned to Springville Utah to help run the family's service station in Provo Utah. In 1959 he married Catherine Peterson and had 4 of his 5 children with her. After his marriage ended with Catherine, he was great dad and helped his children find a love for water. On January 29th 1972 he married the love of his life Linda June Casper and the 2 of them had Fred's final son. In 1983 they relocated to his favorite place on earth, Lake Powell Utah.
Throughout Fred's life he was always a hard worker, a great storyteller and always very friendly to those he met. Throughout his life he worked many jobs including as an Engineman in the US Navy, commercial truck driver, maintaining private boats at Lake Powell, and fee collector for National Park service at Lake Powell. Of all these jobs his favorite was as being fee collector for the National Parks service. It's no question why it was his favorite job he was known at Lake Powell by many for being the friendliest National Park Service toll both employee. He met many people in that job as was in his true element when working in that booth.
Sadly in 2004 he lost the love of his life Linda to Cancer. He'd never forget her and always kept her in his memories. He knew he'd want to have a partner for the rest of his life and in 2018 he married Wilma "Faye" Langston. Faye and Fred lived at Lake Powell until November of 2020 and decided to relocate to Portland Texas to be close to his son and daughter in-law for more care and family time. Fred loved his grandchildren and always loved spending time with them.
Fred is proceeded in death by wife Linda Casper Robinson, both his parents, his brother Richard "Dick" Robinson, and son in law Steve Allphin. He is survived by his children Fred (Joyce) Robinson, Rob (Jill) Robinson, Anita (Steve) Allphin, Jenny (Jose) Rocha and Kale (Sarah) Robinson. 15 Grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
Fred's interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Springville Utah where he will be laid to rest with his wife Linda.
A graveside service will be on Monday July 19th, 2021 at 3:00 PM at the Evergreen cemetery located at 1997 South 400 East Springville Utah in section H.
